Looking for a professional with accounting and/or bookkeeping experience. Opportunity is in Rutherford NJ and candidate would need to report to the office. We are open to part-time work or full-time, W2 or 1099. We are also flexible with work hours. Job Summary:
TPA firm seeks candidates who should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience with the attributes to further develop and promote best practices and process.

This is a unique opportunity for a detail oriented and computer savvy Accounting Associate to assist with the back-office accounting functions at a growing organization. You will be able to work with an exceptional team to keep the organization operating in an efficient and organized manner!

Responsibilities:
Responsible for day-to-day management of client escrow accounts, to include:
  • Monitoring daily funding levels to ensure enough capacity to issue pending/upcoming payments; interact with clients to arrange additional funding when necessary
  • Issuing checks and other payments (i.e. wire transfers, ACH)
  • Analyze incoming payments to correctly record items
  • Reconciling bank accounts to internal systems and loss reports
  • Providing detailed client reporting (monthly and ad-hoc)
  • Ensuring data integrity related to financial records in core systems
  • Responding to client and internal inquiries promptly, professionally and efficiently
  • Build effective electronic correspondence that engages an effective partnership
  • Review current processes and systems. Recommend upgrades or alternative solutions to improve efficiency and ensure long-term sustainability
  • Special projects as assigned
Key requirements:
  • The successful candidate should have a general accounting experience and or a BS/BA degree in accounting, finance or business
  • 5 years of accounting/ bookkeeping experience
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and be able to multitask in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with co-workers, management, and internal/external customers
  • Excel knowledge
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and technical skills
  • Solid attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively
